About

AMMA represents a robust supply chain for masks and Barrier Face Coverings. At the outset of COVID-19, we have worked hand-in-hand with federal officials to supply quality masks when called upon. We produce products that are superior to those made in other countries like China. We recognize your Administration’s COVID-19 plan calls for widespread use of masks to protect workers. And, we agree with the Feb 15 letter that stronger protective measures are needed immediately to limit exposure and transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus to control and end the pandemic. As OSHA contemplates implementing an Emergency Temporary Standard on Protecting Worker Health and Safety, by March 15, we strongly recommend using the new ASTM Barrier Face Covering Standard at an 80% filtration level. The U.S. has ample supply of masks and filter material to protect the entire workforce and public.
