Blue Star NBR is a Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) manufacturing company located in Wytheville, VA. When completed, our facility will proudly supply American-made medical-grade NBR for use in the production of nitrile examination gloves. NBR is a synthetic rubber polymer made from acrylonitrile and butadiene. It is used in several industries as a material for hoses, seals, adhesives, and molded goods. Blue Star’s NBR will be produced primarily for use in disposable gloves, an important form of personal protective equipment (PPE) for members of the healthcare, laboratory, and food service industries (among others).

Maxter Healthcare Inc. is a new vision and chapter in domestic PPE manufacturing and the US subsidiary of the Supermax Corporation, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of high-quality disposable nitrile gloves and PPE. With a state-of-the-art facility located on a 215-acre campus in Brazoria County, Texas, Maxter Healthcare is the first U.S. manufacturing plant for the company and its 18th facility worldwide. Leveraging advanced automation and AI, the facility is designed to produce up to 400 million gloves per month in each of its planned four phases, with a total target installed production capacity of 1.6 billion gloves per month or 19.2 billion gloves per year. This domestic manufacturing capacity will aid the U.S. in its ability to respond to the pandemics and help safeguard the country in the future.

StringKing’s commitment to making a difference became evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. We shifted our focus to produce cloth face masks at a time when they were needed most, scaling up to over 150,000 masks produced daily in Los Angeles.
