Dear Friends,
Look out, Washington, DC – here we come!
In just a few weeks, we will host our first AMMA “Fly-In” to the US Capitol. Over the course of several days, we’ll meet with decision-makers at every level of government to advocate for greater investment in domestically manufactured medical supplies.
We will arrive with some remarkable momentum.
Two weeks ago, AMMA Board members attended a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. The President announced new tariffs on many medical supplies from China. This proposal is aimed at protecting our national resilience and public health.
AMMA has tirelessly worked to keep this issue at the forefront, providing research, and engaging with elected and appointed leaders. Our efforts are gaining recognition, and there are numerous issues ahead where our expertise is crucial and helps inform the debate.
In this newsletter, you’ll see that we are actively ensuring AMMA’s voice is heard in the media. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our members who have been instrumental in shaping these news stories with their insightful contributions.
We would like to extend a special welcome our newest member and board member, BD. BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and a major domestic manufacturer of medical products.
Thank you to each of you for your active participation in AMMA’s work. You are our lifeblood, and we encourage you to continue your efforts to help us grow our membership and build our team.
Yours,
Eric
