Dear Members,

Wow. We have just completed a packed two-day lobbying trip to Washington, D.C., and it was a resounding success! Our Board and a delegation of passionate and knowledgeable members, including you, advocated for our industry’s interests. Your active participation made this success possible, and we couldn’t be prouder of our collective achievement. This is a testament to the power of our unity and the impact we can make when we work together. You should be proud of the influence you’ve had on our industry’s future.

We represented the wide interests of domestic PPE and medical supplies manufacturing. We made significant strides in raising awareness among the elected and appointed leaders who can make a difference. We talked with them and shared our stories about how they are critical for robust support of domestic medical equipment and supplies manufacturing.

Going from office to office around Washington, DC, we are pleased that we enjoyed bipartisan support in Congress. We urged the Biden administration to continue to focus on trade and national security, such as expanding tariffs on PPE and medical supplies from China. There is still work to be done, and we hope our continued efforts will yield positive changes.

Your experience is a vital part of our success. In the weeks ahead, various government agencies will be asking for input, and we hope you will participate in our efforts to send in letters and wisdom to hone and advance our policies. Your unique perspectives and insights are invaluable in shaping the future of our industry.

Our advocacy and public education efforts have not gone unnoticed in the media. AMMA has been featured in several high-profile national print and television stories, highlighting our commitment to advancing American medical manufacturing. This media coverage has been invaluable in spreading our message and garnering public and political support for our cause. We thank all our members who have contributed to these media engagements and encourage continued participation to maintain this momentum.

As we move into the summer months, we anticipate an active period of outreach and advocacy, especially as the federal elections approach. Now is our time to continue engaging with members of Congress and the administration to sustain the pressure on supporting American manufacturing of personal protective equipment (PPE) and countering the influx of Chinese and Southeast Asian imports. Your participation in these efforts will be vital.

As we navigate this critical time for our industry, we urge you to stay informed, get involved, and help us ensure that our industry’s voice remains strong and influential. Your continued engagement and advocacy efforts are not just important; they are vital to our success. We need you to continue making a difference with us.

Yours,

Eric
